The Arab proverb “Feet in the water, head in the fire” connects two worlds: the desert where the date palm takes root and Vietnam’s lush landscapes. I start with Vietnamese ingredients, adding only what brings their character into clearer focus.

I make each product to carry its sense of place beyond its origin—to be kept close at hand or held in memory long after the last sip. I bring Nutliare from Vietnam to a place where the date palm has long shaped daily life.

Shan Tuyet – Suoi Giang, Yen Bai

In Yen Bai Province’s Suoi Giang Commune, Shan Tuyet tea is picked from ancient trees growing across mist-covered mountain slopes in northern Vietnam.

Lotus Seed — Tinh Tam Lake, Hue

Hue gives the lotus a sense of place. At Tinh Tam Lake and the ponds within Hue’s Imperial City, lotus is woven into the seasonal landscape and cultural life of Vietnam’s former imperial capital.

Macadamia – Krong Nang, Dak Lak

Macadamia is rooted in place. In Krong Nang, Dak Lak, the trees grow on the red-soil plateau of Vietnam’s Central Highlands, shaped by a distinct dry season.

Cacao — Ea Kar, Dak Lak to Chau Thanh, Ben Tre

Vietnamese cacao has been recognized by the International Cocoa Organization (ICCO). In its April 2024 update, ICCO lists 80% of Vietnam’s exported cocoa beans under the Fine Flavour Cocoa classification. From Ea Kar, Dak Lak to Chau Thanh, Ben Tre, cacao grows across two landscapes: red-soil highlands and coconut gardens in the Mekong Delta.
